WATCH – Highlights of Anthony Cacace’s exciting British title victory over Sam Bowen
Anthony Cacace was crowned British Champion in Birmingham tonight [Saturday].
The Belfast super featherweight dethroned Sam Bowen after 12 entertaining rounds.
The pair traded up close and personal for the majority of the first half of the clash, before ‘The Apache’ showed the kind of skill he is renowned for down the stretch.
As a result the Pat Magee managed fighter secured victory via split decision.
Howard Foster and Steve Gray ruled in favour of Cacace 115-113 while, Terry O’Connor, who has been criticized for his scoring of Callum Smith versus John Ryder this week, had it 115-112 for Bowen.
