Floyd Mayweather wanna’ be Tyler McCreary [16(7)-0-1] will get a taste of elite level fighting this weekend – and won’t find it too appetizing suggests Carl Frampton [26(15)-2(0)-0].

The undefeated American takes on the former two weight world champion on an ESPN broadcast, Las Vegas hosted, Top Rank promoted show this weekend.

It’s a massive chance for the 26-year-old to gatecrash the world scene and bring his career to the next level, but it’s a opportunity ‘The Jackal’ is adamant he won’t let the American take.

Frampton, who has three weight world title aspirations, believes his first opponent since Josh Warrington is somewhat over confident and can get lazy in the ring, both of which he is willing to exploit on November 30.

“McCreary has a good jab. He thinks he’s Floyd Mayweather but he’s not. He can get lazy at times and I plan to exploit that on the night because he hasn’t fought anyone who’s close to me,” the Jackal said when speaking to MTK.

Frampton is itching to get back in the ring after a prolonged absence. The 32-year-old is aware victory will put him on course for another world title fight- and seems keens to stress he is hungry, fit and focused with regard to his career.

“I’m feeling very determined because it’s been a long time out of the ring and I’m coming off a loss,” he adds before stressing the freak Philly hotel injury didn’t dampen his desire.

“Then there was the chaos of the injury I sustained in Philadelphia. That obviously wasn’t ideal but I’m fit, strong, back in Las Vegas and looking forward to it.

“I’m over the Philadelphia thing now. It was ridiculous and I don’t want to dwell on it. Some people still don’t believe that story! I can’t worry about that too much. It happened and I had to deal with it.

“I genuinely didn’t contemplate retirement because of what happened in Philly. I just wanted to get back on the horse as quickly as possible and I’m lucky it wasn’t a bad fracture. I’m fine now.”

Frampton unified world super-bantamweight titles in February 2016 before stepping up to dethrone Leo Santa Cruz in his first fight as a featherweight later the same year.

Victory at a catch-weight on Saturday would leave him with big fight options at both feather and super feather.
