Youth Squad head to Russia ahead of Multi Nations

A ten-strong Irish Youth squad departed east today ahead of a training camp and Multi-Nations tournament in Russia.

The Irish team will take part in a training camp with the hosts and also compete in the Pavlyukov Memorial Multi-Nations in Anapa.

Irish boxing has happy memories of Anapa as Victor Medveduic and Gerard Whitehouse won two bronze medals at the European Schoolboy Championships at the Black Sea holiday resort in 2009.

The Pavlyukov Memorial Multi-Nations begin on April 2nd.
