Celtic Warrior Buglioni set to move up to light heavyweight
Frank Buglioni will embark on a step up to the Light-Heavyweight division in 2016.
Speaking to Steve Bunce on the ESPN Boxing Podcast, the Paschal Collins-trained ‘Wise Guy’ explained his decision to move up a weight.
“It’s been in the back of my mind for a while. I stayed at Super-Middleweight as the opportunities kept coming. When the World Title opportunity came up, I would have gone in there with two broken hands,“ revealed Buglioni.
Last time out in September Buglioni put in a courageous display to go the distance with Fedor Chudinov for the WBA World Super-Middleweight Title.
“It was a tough fight, whilst I was in there I was fuelled on adrenaline but it took me a good month to recover.”
The 26 year old fan favourite will be debuting at his new weight on a Frank Warren show in March, full details are to be released shortly.
“I’ve had a good rest, I’m full of energy and raring to go again. There’s some great fights at Light-Heavy!”
