Fury hits out at McGregor-‘The fighting pride of Ireland wouldn’t tap out’
Former Irish heavyweight champion and current World champion Tyson Fury has hit out at Conor McGregor and MMA.
UFC featherweight champion was chocked out by Nate Diaz in UFC 196 in Las Vegas on Saturday night after jumping up two weights to save the fight card.
McGregor, a former Crumlin BC boxer, has received respect in some quarters for risking his unbeaten UFC record against a Welterweight name and indeed for the humble way he took defeat.
However, Fury wasn’t impressed with the popular fight star indicating that he is the real ‘fighting pride of Ireland’ and that he would never have tap out in a fight.
Speaking on Twitter Fury said:
The fighting pride of Ireland would not of tapped out so easy @TheNotoriousMMA I would of went sleep first. There can only be 1Tyson fury.
