RE: Boxing V UFC
I think UFC has a good chance of taking over from Boxing because the best have to fight the best in the UFC. Nowadays in boxing the fights the fans want to see dont always happen because there are so many belts for each weight division. The UFC have one belt per weight category, except in the Welterweight divison because the current chap is injured. This makes the UFC more exciting and entertaining in most cases, imo that is.

I follow UFC on Facebook and reading about Jones once again forces the world to sit up and take note, this time when destroying wrestler Jake O'Brien at landmark UFC 100 event in Las Vegas.

RE: Boxing V UFC
I think MMA, which is the sport, will take over from boxing very shortly if it hasn't already! The UFC is an unstoppable force and continues to grow worldwide. It may never be more popular than amatuer boxing here in Ireland but in pro boxing.... its already destroying it.

I cant stand UFC to be honest but I understand why it has became so popular, but I cant see it taking over boxing.

RE: Boxing V UFC
Boxing needs to get its act together, i prefer boxing but you cant deny ufc is very popular. Lika mika said above there are too many federations, I cant see that changing for the foreseeable future, if it did boxing would regain its rightful throne.

RE: Boxing V UFC
I'm a fan of both boxing and UFC, and in my opinion, i don't see UFC taking over boxing. Though it is alredy given that UFC is getting famous but that doesn't mean that UFC is going to take over boxing. Just my cents.
